I know bedtime is a struggle for many of you out there. And in the mad rush from school to sleep, there are a lot of things that can get in the way of having the kind of calm evening that can help your kids fall asleep easier. Parenting Tip: Ease bedtime struggles
Lynne Johnston of Triangle Parenting Support and formerly of Wake County's Project Enlightenment offers some tips for making bedtime more peaceful for you and your kids. In my video interview with her, she talks about the optimal bedtime, when to shut off the TV and video games and other tips for evening routines.
I introduced Triangle Parenting Support on Monday. The group offers counseling for parents and children, along with workshops and other resources for families. Check my earlier post for more about the group, which formed in the spring.
And check back here next Wednesday for more tips from Johnston. She'll talk about how to encourage your children to actually tell you what's on their mind before they drift off to sleep.
