A quick note to share that the Raleigh City Museum will show the original 1947 version of "Miracle on 34th Street," which is my all-time favorite Christmas movie.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 11, the museum and Capitol Broadcasting will host a screening of the movie. The movie was WRAL-TV's first broadcast on Dec. 15, 1956. There will be cider and holiday cookies along with some crafts and other activities. There will be some raffle prices too.

Admission is $5 per family. Call 919-832-3775 to let them know you're coming.  The museum is on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh.
