Here's when Frosty, Rudolph, other holiday specials are on

Posted November 24, 2010

I've been so eager for TV Guide's holiday calendar, that I actually emailed the magazine's PR department the other day wondering where it was. I'm sort of embarrassed to admit that I'd been checking and rechecking the site on a regular basis.

And they emailed me back to let me know that it's up today! The calendar lists all those classic holiday specials (I'm talking "Frosty," "Rudolph," "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and more). We like to record them in my house to watch on lazy weekend afternoons.

So thank you TV Guide for this resource. Click here for the link.

Loved Emmett, and we have it on "home-made" VHS.

Emmett Otters Jug Band Christmas was one of our favorites. Good thing we pruchased a DVD, 'cause it's not longer on TV. Anyone else like Emmett?

"ABC, I believe, owns the rights to "A Charlie Brown Christmas," but I'm not seeing it anywhere on their schedule."

Here it is -- A Charlie Brown Christmas on Dec 16 @ 8 p.m. (ABC)

Hey guys ... Rudolph is on Nov. 30. Looks like there's a Night Before Christmas on Dec. 4 (though not sure it's the version you're looking for Phil).
And here's a link for ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas, though I think most of this is on the TV Guide calendar.

ABC, I believe, owns the rights to "A Charlie Brown Christmas," but I'm not seeing it anywhere on their schedule. It's a favorite with us too .. we listen to the soundtrack year round. :)

Where are all the great classics? Where are the clay-mation shows and where is Charlie Brown?? Even my younger kid loves them all. Now that's my idea of Christmas TV.
