Help a Mom: Preschools in Morrisville area

Posted November 1, 2010

I thought I'd toss this out to Go Ask Mom readers. I got an email from a reader who was looking for more information about preschools in her area.

This is what she wrote: I would greatly appreciate more information on preschools. I have a 19-month-old daughter who I am hoping to put in school at age 2. I wanted to find out about preschools for her in the Morrisville area.

If you have suggestions, please include it in the comments. Thanks!

Our children thrived at Preston Children's Academy. They are 5 star rated, very reasonably priced, and a great location. They have an indoor gym so the kids get their run time no matter the weather, and the outdoor play areas are either covered or get plenty of shade for those awful hot summer days. They have extremely high retention of teachers and the owners and management are visible and extremely approachable. They offer Spanish and gymnastics for the preschoolers and their overall teacher ratios are excellent. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well apportioned with educational toys and activities. I cannot say enough to praise them as much as they deserve. They are like a second family and I have never worried about my children in their care.

I also recommend Little Pros Academy in Morrisville.

The attached link is a great start to researching daycares/preschools in Wake County:

Fortunately, there are alot of great childcare options in the Morrisville/Cary area.

    Good luck.

The Learning Experience on Leonard Christian Rd. in Cary, NC has been wonderful for my 4 year old son who is in Pre-K there. He has been thoroughly enjoying his time there, to the point where the other morning when I asked him if he wanted me to take him to Chikfila for a special breakfast before school, he advised me that he really needed to get to school b/c he was going to have such a busy day! lol. Big change from his last family-owned preschool in Morrisville where he cried every morning! We were amazed that he knew that Florida was a peninsula, and knows the capitals of many states! Most impressive is the way that the teachers genuinely love my child, and all of the children. Great daycare, highly reccomended by this picky mom!!! lol

Isn't there also a new Goddard School closeby? And there's a great Primrose over across from the old ice hockey place.

My daughter recently graduated from All Starz Children's Academy on McKrimmon Parkway. We were there for about two years and I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and owners at this school. I would suggest taking a tour, as it is one of the nicest schools in the area.

We love Little Pros Academy on Keybridge Drive (near intersection of Hwy 54 & Morrisville Carpenter). Our 2 kids learned so much and enjoyed it!

I love my daughters daycare. Many daycares offer preschool teaching. The Learning Experience at the corner of Davis dr and Leonard Christian. We recently transferred there from a not so good facility in Durham. This place is fantastic. My daughter went from crying at dropoff at her old daycare to asking if she can go to school (she is 3). They are teaching her sign language which is helping with her speech delay.
