Lynda Loveland: Sand in my pants

I love the beach this time of year.

We took the kids Labor Day weekend for the first time this summer. No hurricanes and nothing but sunny skies.

One afternoon I was showering the sand off my oldest daughter when she hit me with that inevitable kid joke. She showed me her backside and said, "Mom I need a new butt, mine has a crack in it!"

She musta laughed for 10 minutes, that hysterical kid laughter. Even though I've heard that joke more times than I can count, seeing my daughter get a kick out of it kinda cracked me up!

Heehee! Wonder where she heard that? Too funny. We just got back from the beach this weekend, too. SO nice, not too humid either. I HATE sand with a passion, but my 2.5 year old had the BEST time in it. Thank goodness for the outside shower/hose!
