Carolina Parent will hold its annual breakfast on Sept. 16 to honor 50 family-friendly companies across North Carolina.

The Wo+men@Work Breakfast celebrates companies that help employees balance family and work. It will feature the very funny author and columnist Celia Rivenbark. She's the author of five humor collections including "You Can't Drink All Day If You Don't Start In The Morning" and "Stop Dressing Your Six-Year-Old Like a Skank."

The breakfast is from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 16 at 318 Blackwell St., American Tobacco, Bay 7, in Durham.

As part of the breakfast, Carolina Parent is working with Dress for Success Triangle NC, which provides professional clothing to women in need of interview and work attire. The magazine is asking attendees to donate a suit or other pieces of professional clothing at the breakfast. That's a wonderful way to clean out your closet.
Learn more and register for the breakfast on Carolina Parents' website. Individual tickets are $35.
