I like to give things away. And now that we've all made it through summer and the back-to-school rush, I figure Go Ask Mom readers all would enjoy winning some free stuff.

So over the next few weeks and months, we're going to have some fun giveaways from gift certificates to local restaurants, tickets to upcoming family-friendly events and even a whole bunch of deli meat.

And on Monday, I'm excited to launch a contest for five sports shirts that were created by a woman who lives right here in North Carolina.

Martha Garzon created her Eclissi Apparel line of sports shirts, which provide SPF 50+ protection to protect you from ultraviolet rays and a wicking treatment to ensure quicker evaporation of perspiration when you're running around the neighborhood or after your toddler.

Garzon knows all about the sun. She grew up in Colombia, South America and has spent her career working at tennis clubs. She's working on a line of men and children's shirts as well. But she started with a women's line first.

And starting Monday, Go Ask Mom will have five shirts to give away to lucky Go Ask Mom readers! Stay tuned!
