Crystal Bacon, director of the First Baptist Weekday Preschool in Raleigh, emailed me to let me know her school has spaces available in its four-year-old class.
The preschool on Salisbury Street in downtown Raleigh meets 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday with lunch provided. The cost is $190 per month.
The preschool is a small parent co-op preschool. Parents volunteer for four hours each month in one of the classrooms. The four-year-old program takes lots of walking field trips, including many to the state museums downtown.
Bacon tells me that the class' teacher has been working at the preschool for 14 years and is a former kindergarten teacher.
"She is amazing and we have heard many many families say their children were so very prepared for kindergarten after having her as their teacher," Bacon writes.
