Clayton spa to offer free treatments this week

Posted August 24, 2010

You survived summer, so why not treat yourself to a free manicure ... or pedicure, haircut, massage.

Dean Narron, owner of Botanicals Salon and Spas in Clayton, tells me the spa is celebrating an anniversary by offering many of its services for free this Friday and Saturday. For real.

Narron says any service that takes less than 30 minutes is free and that includes mini-manis; mini-pedis; (updated to say) shampoo and style; massage; waxing; facials; and sunless tanning. There will be door prizes, drawings and food. Narron promises "no gimmicks or catches."

Appointments are preferred. But walk-ins are welcome. Just know you'll probably have to wait a bit.

The deal runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Check Botanicals' website for details.

I would just like to comment that I was disappointed with the promotion. I had read here about the mini-pedi's so I was excited to go and get mine. But all I got was a polish change of my toe nails, no mini pedi as described here and was told that was all they were doing for the 'special'.

Just heard back from Dean, who writes: I think I'm to blame ! For hair its blow dry/style or shampoo/style. And mini mani and pedi which is scrub, massage, and polish of their choice. I was under the asumption it was cuts. Everything else is just as it says though.

Thanks for pointing it out whyalltheproblems!

Hmmm ... Dean, the owner, told me they'd do cut and dries, but not coloring or anything that took longer than 30 minutes. I'll check with him and update.
