Jennifer Varner is helping other moms do exactly what she's been able to do for the last several years: Work from home.
Varner of Cary founded Pure Ecommerce after successfully running her own online maternity store. Pure Ecommerce creates turnkey boutique websites, sells them and provides counseling and support to the buyer. She tells me she works to help her clients avoid all the mistakes she made with her first online company, that maternity store. Business helps moms work from home
The business primarily focuses on creating websites that sell items for moms, babies and kids. Items sold through the website are drop shipped, which means that once the order is placed through the website, the manufacturer sends the item directly to the buyer.
Varner says those businesses focused on moms and kids can be recession proof. Women are always having babies. And they're always buying things for their kids.
For Varner, Pure Ecommerce has become the family business. Her husband is part of it. And they've even created websites for a couple of their children. But, best of all, it's allowed them to work at home as they raise their four kids.
