The very first day of school is almost here for many rising kindergartners and already here for those in year-round school.

Michelle Chachkes, a licensed clinical social worker and former parent counselor at Project Enlightenment, who is now with N.C. Parent Consultants, offers some tips for us parents who are sending their kids off to kindergarten.
