The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau tells me that the producer for CMT's show "World's Strictest Parents" will be in the Triangle very soon and is looking for some strict parents to help some teens.

Families will be paid $2,500 for five days of filming.

I haven't seen the show ... but here's what the casting call says:

Casting in Raleigh - "The World's Strictest Parents", a remarkable show that improves the lives of everyone involved. The show takes teens with relatable adolescent problems (defying authority, laziness, drinking, etc - NOT violence, gangs, or hard drugs), and places them with loving, welcoming, but strict families in another part of America for one week. The goal is to get to a 'breakthrough point' with the teens, help them turn around their attitudes, put them back on the right path in life, and maybe give them a new perspective on the relationship they have with their own parents.

All over the Raleigh-Durham area, we will be looking for those families with a big heart and an open home who would like to mentor two teens for a week. Do the families you know have experience in dealing with teenagers? Do they have strong morals, guidelines, and expectations for teenagers already living in your home? If so, we would love to speak with those families.

For more information or to apply to be on the show, contact Amy Porder at aporder@gmail.com or 678-232-2787.
