Families invited to compete in Cary scavenger hunt

Posted June 28, 2010

Koka Booth Amphitheatre opened a decade ago. And to celebrate the tenth anniversary, the Cary Citizen will host the first ever Cary Scavenger Hunt.

The event includes categories for both families and adult teams. The hunt will test participants' knowledge of Cary with clues and destinations across the town, including historical landmarks, local businesses, art displays, sports centers and more. Teams must return to the amphitheater by the designated time.

The hunt is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 24. Winners of the adult scavenger hunt will win 10 VIP tickets to the REO Speedwagon/Pat Benatar concert at Booth Amphitheatre. Winners of the family hunt will win a private tent party for 20 at one of Booth Amphitheatre's Movies by Moonlight.

The registration fee is $50 for an adult team and $30 for a family team. On the day of the hunt, you can still sign up, but registration fees will rise to $65 for an adult team and $45 for family teams.
