Triangle carousels: Cary Towne Center
With Pullen Park closed, here's a look at other carousels around the Triangle.
Posted — UpdatedI wish that all the carousels in the Triangle were out of that scene in "Mary Poppins" where they all hop on horses that magically come to life at some idyllic country fair.
We all know that's not going to happen.
The carousel first came to the mall in February 2003. It was actually made in Venice.
The carousel is open during mall hours. Tickets are $1.75 a piece. And a parent can ride for free if their child is under 44 inches.
A few features make this carousel stand out: a spinning teacup and a rocking princess carriage. The carousel sits near Sears.
