New book encourages moms to get involved
Author Amy Tiemann says moms need to connect with other parents for support and be willing to raise their voices to talk about subjects important to them.
Posted — UpdatedAuthor and Triangle mom Amy Tiemann has been with us for the last few weeks to talk about her new book "Courageous Parents, Confident Kids."
Today, she's talking about the last segment of her book, which encourages us moms to find our voice in the community.
"It helps us claim our power as parents if we connect with other parents for support and also be willing to raise our voices and talk about things that are important to us," said Tiemann, who also wrote the popular book "Mojo Mom" a few years ago.
