No plans yet for Mother's Day? Here are some local mom's day events.

Kids band Mommie will be rocking The Pour House in downtown Raleigh at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The band includes singer Doug MacMillan of The Connells. Tickets are $5 per person or $10 for a family of up to four. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
Marbles Kids Museum is holding a variety of events, including Mommy and Me portraits and special family stories on Saturday and Sunday. There's also a special tea for Marbles members Saturday morning.
Stroller Strides of Raleigh will be kicking off their Saturday workout sessions with a family event and tropical luau at Crowder Park in Apex starting at 9:30 a.m. The event and workout is free. Plus Jen, the owner, will be offering some Mother's Day specials. See my earlier post about Jen and her program.
Moms get in free to the Triangle's first Lego festival on Sunday with a paying child or spouse. The festival, at the Hilton North Raleigh, runs all weekend and includes a variety of exhibits, vendors and hands-on activities, which you might remember from last week's post. Looks like a lot of fun.
The Eno River Farmers Market in Hillsborough will celebrate moms from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday during Mother's Day at the Market. You'll find cut flowers, decadent desserts, chocolate-covered strawberries and mom-dedicated crafts for the kids.
And you can find more events, including programs at Noah's Landing, a farm/zoo in Coats and the N.C. Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill, and Mother's Day brunches on WRAL's Out & About calendar. Just type in "Mother's Day" in the search field.

Have a great weekend!
