Durham dino trail gets new dinos
The Museum of Life and Science's dinosaur trail has some new faces.
Posted — UpdatedBy Sarah Lindenfeld Hall
I'm told that the Museum of Life and Sciences has some new dinosaurs on their trail, including the one pictured to the left.
The herd of prehistoric Leptoceratops have fiery red eyes, spiky frills and beaks. There are now 17 dinosaurs on the trail. One more, a baby Edmontonia, should arrive later this year.
The popular trail opened last spring and features dinosaurs from the late Cretaceous period. If you don't know when that was, what that means, check the Durham museum's website, which offers a lot of great information and even some dino-related activities for kids.
And check out this great interactive site from WRAL, with a puzzle, links and lots of photos.
