College fair scheduled for Latino students

Meredith College and El Pueblo will sponsor a special college fair for Latino high school students.

The ¡Levantate, North Carolina! College Fair is set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 24 in Weatherspoon Gym on Meredith's campus.

Latino high school students and their families are invited to learn about college options. Representatives from a variety of public and private schools will be there, including Meredith, Peace College, Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill, American University, N.C. State and Boston University. Scholarship organizations also will attend.

Registration is not necessary. And La Ley 96.9 FM will have a live remote broadcast from the event from noon to 2 p.m. with music, prizes and more.
