Wanted to share some information about some summer programs that I'm hearing about. From my inbox ...

The N.C. Museum of History has spots open in its summer programs. The downtown Raleigh museum offers camps on everything from pirates to the 1960s for kindergartners to eighth graders. Click here for details.

Meredith College offers some great summer programs, camps and swim lessons. They include a four-day residential program for girls who are rising sophomores, juniors and seniors to give them a taste of college life. I'm keeping this one filed in the back of my mind for when my own daughters are this age. Click here for all the details on the summer programs. Peace College in Raleigh is holding theater master camps for serious theater students ages 8 to 21. The three week-long sessions in June and July offer training with experienced professionals in singing, acting, movement and comedy. The faculty include Lily Knight, who has appeared in film and on TV; Judy Kuhn, a Tony-nominated actress and singer who sang the title role in Disney's "Pocahontas;" and Jeff A. R. And N.C. Theatre offers summer programs for kids ages 4 and up. Some are based on popular shows like "Glee" and "So You Think You Can Dance." Click here for details.
