The Carolina Hurricanes will host a special free front lawn party before their game Sunday with the Buffalo Sabres.

The event features a Mini Mascot Olympics with the Hurricanes' Stormy plus lots of other mascots, including Thrash from the Atlanta Thrashers, Slapshot from the Washington Capitals and Sir Purr from the Carolina Panthers. They'll compete in the joust, obstacle course, bull riding and slap shot booth.

The Olympics run from 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Sunday. After that, there will be live music, inflatables and street hockey. Food and drink will be for sale. The party ends at 4:45 p.m. when you can head into the game if you've got tickets.

The front lawn party, located on the south lawn of the RBC Center across from the Carter-Finley scoreboard, is free, but regular parking fees at the RBC Center do apply.
