When your child is growing up, there’s a lot of importance placed on reaching milestone’s. Is my baby crawling at the right time, walking, talking etc… Recently my four year old son reached a new milestone. One you don’t see in the parenting books but it should absolutely, without a doubt be included. I consider it crucial for the male species.
It’s not about putting the lid down. He’s about 50/50 in that department. It’s even better than that.
Recently I went into the bathroom right after him, and something caught my eye. Something odd and seemingly out of place. I saw an empty roll of toilet paper in the trash and a new roll on the holder. I rubbed my eyes and looked again. Surely MY son was not responsible for this. But the roll was still swinging on the wall. I was dumbfounded. My son, without provocation, had just replaced the toilet paper!!
I ran into the living room and asked Caiden if it was true. Without looking up from his superheros, he said yes. I praised that boy up one side and down the other. And than I repeated the process. I finished by baking him a cake. OK, I didn’t do that, but he got a big ole dessert that night!! Wonder if that will work for my husband…
