After a brief hiatus, the indoor hockey rink is back at Marbles Kids Museum as part of the refurbished Power 2 Play exhibit, which was wildly popular last year.

The new version opens Saturday and includes Center Ice, along with other opportunities for kids to dance, play and learn all about healthy living. Watch for more about the exhibit here on Go Ask Mom next week.

What else is going on this weekend?

The Golden Dragon Acrobats perform three shows at Durham's Carolina Theatre - 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets range between $18 and $26. The troupe of more than 20 members have studied their craft since early childhood and will perform death-defying feats.
Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Jason Ringenberg brings his Farmer Jason show to Tir Na Nog Irish pub in downtown Raleigh at 2 p.m. Saturday. Tir Na Nog is across from Moore Square about a block from Marbles. Tickets are $5. Ringenberg is in the Country Music Hall of Fame for his work with Jason and the Scorchers, where he fused punk rock and country. But, like many kids performers, he started writing music for kids after the birth of his own. He's since traveled the world with his Farmer Jason show.
Catch a free showing of the PG-rated "Where the Red Fern Grows" at Historic Oak View County Park. You'll also get free popcorn, lemonade and more. It's from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the park off Poole Road in Raleigh.
The Cashore Marionettes will perform shows at the Holly Springs Cultural Center at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Check the website for some pretty amazing video of what they can do. The show is part of the Holly Spring center's family series. Tickets are $8.
Carolina Kinder will host a German storytime at Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Carolina Kinder works to organize special events, storytimes, playgroups and German language lessons for kids in the Triangle.
Celebrity Dairy in Siler City, known for its goat cheese, will open their doors this weekend from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can see some of the 120 to 150 baby goats that will be born this season and explore the farm. The open house is free, but a donation is requested for the Heifer Project International.
