I'm just wading into the world of summer camps with my own kids. Not until recently did I know that now is the time to make all your summer plans.

So thank goodness for Carolina Parent and its 14th annual Camp and Education Fair, which also is co-sponsored by the YMCA of the Triangle. The fair is this Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at Saint Mary's School, 800 Hillsborough St., near downtown Raleigh and the N.C. State campus.
I mentioned the fair in my Weekend Plans post, but thought I'd elaborate here.

The fair is the largest of its kind in the Triangle with 70 booths featuring camps or schools and their program options. It typically attracts as many as 1,500 people, who can meet in person with camp organizers and learn about not only summer, but track-out and year-round programs in the Triangle and across the country. There's something for all ages ... from preschoolers to teens. And attendees will get a bag with more information and to hold all the goodies you'll pick up at each of the booths.

Best of all, it's all free.
