Tickets on sale for family-friendly classical concerts

Posted February 4, 2010

Tickets are on sale now for a performance of the Brussels Chamber Orchestra concert featuring members of the N.C. Symphony.

The March 11 concert in Cary features an interactive, family-friendly concert where the orchestra will play for an hour. An educational discussion will follow. A second performance on March 12 will be a traditional two-hour concert, followed by a reception (read: less kid friendly).

Both events are at Cary's Page-Walker Arts & History Center. Tickets are $10 for the March 11 event ($20 for the March 12 performance). Click here for details.

I'm a big fan of classical music for kids and grew up in a house full of it. We've had a good time at some of the N.C. Symphony's concerts for kids as well. The last one in this season's Young People's Series is March 20. Tickets also are on sale.
