Not sure what to do this weekend with the kids? Here's a look at what's going on.

Princess Katie and Racer Steve are revved up and ready to rock the Durham Performing Arts Center this Saturday. The show called (you guessed it) "Revved Up and Ready to Rock" features the NYC-based band known for its creative energy and positive spirit. I'm told kids are encouraged to join Princess Katie, Racer Steve, Space on Bass and Crash the Drummer in "music with a message that hasn't lost its cool." The group has released several albums, including a new one called "Tiny Cool," featuring their take on a variety of musical genres from neo-Latin to rap and 12-bar blues. Show times are 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the DPAC, which is in The American Tobacco District. Tickets range from $10 to $15.

The Nasher Museum of Art in Durham will hold one of its popular Family Days from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. The day celebrates current exhibitions at the Nasher, including "Big Shots: Andy Warhol Polaroids," and "Lines of Attack: Conflicts in Caricature." Hands on activities include self-portrati paintings and more. Paul Miller of Flow Circus will perform juggling and magic at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. with roving close-up magic before, between and after. Gallery hunts are available for families to explore the exhibitions at their own pace. It's free and open to all. I've been to one of the Nasher's family days and was really impressed with the quality of the event and the crafts that the kids took home.

Don't forget the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences' Astronomy Days was rescheduled for this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. because of last weekend's weather.

The N.C. Museum of History in downtown Raleigh will hold a couple of programs on Saturdays in February in honor of Black History Month. From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays, visitors can explore the lives and accomplishments of African-American North Carolinians. There's also a hands-on history program from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. where kids can make a craft, jump a rope and hear a story.

Speaking of Black History Month, East Regional Library in Knightdale is the site of an African-American Read-in In from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Kids and adults are invited to share an afternoon of history, books, fun and refreshments. (And also check out the library's Pajama Jammie Jam! from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday).

And celebrate Valentine's Day with some special storytimes at local Barnes & Noble bookstores. There's an 11 a.m. event on Saturday at Raleigh's Triangle Town Center and Durham's New Hope Commons locations. It's at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at The Streets at Southpoint.
