I'm excited that Go Ask Mom, for the second year, will be part of the Fox 50 Family Fest on Sunday at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham.
The highlight of the day is the Great American Tobacco Duck Race, a fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the Durham Literacy Center, Explorer Post 50 and Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. The race of yellow rubber duckies, which people have decorated, down the Ol’ Bull River draws thousands. It truly is a sight to see. Click here to learn more about how you can take part in the fundraiser, including the schedule for the race and the duck decorating tent.
But there's much more to the Family Fest, including live music from the Sandbox band, interactive exhibits from the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences, field and fitness games with the YMCA, face painting, balloon art, live animals from Noah's Landing and much more. Ronald McDonald, Wool E. Bull, Lucky E. Duck and Stormy will all make appearances.
I'll be in Bay 7 at American Tobacco with a quick craft, some giveaways and a contest. It's from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday.
I hope to see you there!
