I featured Kelly Smith-Tilly, owner of tiny peepers printed fabrics, last year. She and her beautiful, quirky screen-printed tea towels, scarves, kids’ clothes and prints, were part of Go Ask Mom's 2011 Made by Mom Gift Guide.

A big update: Smith-Tilly, a Raleigh mom of two, has moved far beyond Go Ask Mom and now is a finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made contest. The contest's winner will receive $10,000 to grow their business and be featured in Stewart's magazine.

Visitors to the American Made site can vote once a day for their favorite finalist. Click here to learn more about Smith-Tilly and tiny peepers and to support them.
There are two other Triangle-area finalists. They are Mark Overbay of Big Spoon Roasters and Barton Strom of Lumina Clothing.

Voting ends Sept. 24. Congratulations to Kelly!
