Help a Mom: Searching for jump rope classes

I received this quick email from a mom looking for jump rope classes for her daughter.

In search of jump rope classes for kids; age 6 specifically. Close to Holly Springs/Fuquay-Varina.

The Triangle is a hotbed for jump ropers (I featured the Tri-Force gym earlier this year). If you've seen the sport in action, you know it's more than a girl chanting "Miss Mary Mack" while jumping a rope by herself on the sidewalk. There are flips and splits and a lot of athleticism involved in moves that often require multiple jumpers at the same time.

Our reader is looking for recommendations in Holly Springs or Fuquay-Varina, but if you have favorite gyms elsewhere, please share those too.

    We have some great teams in this area.
    My girls go to Tri-Force Jump Rope - Morrisville - they offer classes year round
    Cary SuperSkippers -
    SkipSations - Chapel Hill -
    Bouncing Bulldogs -
    This other teams I know about are connected to schools Hope this helps

    I just realized that's a picture of the Super Skippers in action next to this article:-) Those girls have been part of the team for several years and have "grown up" jumping.

    My brother is the coach of the Super Skippers at the Cary YMCA--so I'm a little bias when it comes to jumproping! I know they host many clinics during the year. I believe most of them are at the Cary Y, but they are jumping so much, sometimes I don't know where they are?!!? :-) His team consist of some GREAT kids and they teach at the clinics! I would reccommend calling the Cary Y and finding out when and where their next one will be.
