Kids Together Playground to hold Walk for Inclusiveness

The Cary playground will celebrate every child's right to be included in play.

Kids Together Playground in Cary will host a Walk for Inclusiveness on Sept .22.

The playground, at 111 Thurston Dr., was designed for kids of all abilities, including those in wheelchairs and with other special needs. The event celebrates every child's right to be included in play.

The event features a 1.4-mile course along the Hinshaw Greenway from Kids Together Playground to MacDonald Woods Park and back. It's wheelchair and stroller friendly.

There also will be refreshments, fitness games, a silent auction, music and prizes, including awards for coolest shoes, funniest hat and snazziest wheels (wheelchair or stroller).

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., Sept. 22. The walk starts at 10 a.m. The fee is $15 per family or $5 per person.
