Marbles free on Sept. 29 to mark fifth birthday

At first when I saw that Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh would be celebrating its 5th birthday this month, I thought, "That's it?"

But then I realized that that pretty much covers all but two years of my life as a parent and I'll admit it's hard for me to remember life before kids.

Marbles will be marking this big occasion with lots of special activities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29. I'm told there will be surprises, special guests and much more.

Best of all: It's all free! Admission to Marbles will be free on Sept. 29. And, all of its IMAX documentary films, which I love taking my seven-year-old to, will be $5 per person.
