CowParade makes its way around the Triangle
More than 80 life-size cow sculptures, decorated by regional artists, are on display starting this week. The project raises money for the N.C. Children's Hospital.

More than 80 life-size cow sculptures have been dispersed across the Triangle this week in an effort to raise money for the N.C. Children's Hospital.
They will be on display in public places through early December. You'll find them across Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh, including the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, UNC-Chapel Hill, downtown Raleigh and Raleigh's North Hills (where one cow prompted some shrieks of excitement from my own kids on Monday).
They'll ultimately be auctioned off in January.
CowParade is part of an international public art event that has raised more than $30 million for its nonprofit partners in 75 cities since 1999.
After witnessing my kids' reaction to the first cow they saw, I look forward to checking out many more!
