Win GoPlaySave, formerly Citipass, savings book!

Published: 2012-08-27 20:55:00
Updated: 2012-08-31 14:42:02

This contest is over! Congratulations to our winners: lovestosave, tlgilmore. tlotte, sethorp and ecuqtpie!

I have five GoPlaySave savings books to give away!

The books, formerly called Greater Raleigh Citipass books, support Triangle-area schools. They are provided to schools and other fundraising groups on consignment and include all kinds of offers from local merchants. Schools can earn at least $10 on every book sold and often have incentive programs in place to reward students and families for selling books.

GoPlaySave has increased production from 10,000 books to 50,000 books in Raleigh and 10,000 books for Chapel Hill-Durham in 2012. The book offers $9,500 worth of coupon savings at 320 different merchants.

Starting this year, GoPlaySave also will begin incorporating mobile capabilities. Now, those who buy the book can, for an additional fee, also go completely mobile by showing merchants their coupons right on their mobile device.

The mobile app also allows users to search for the closest deals around them and, since the coupons are always readily available on your phone, users won’t have to worry about locating the book while they’re on the go. The app helps merchants, making it easier for them to track how many coupons have been redeemed. Merchants will also have the ability to post additional deals throughout the year that will be on the smartphone.

For all the details, go to GoPlaySave's website.

I have five books to give away to some lucky winners!

What do you need to do to win? One or both of the following:

1. Follow @WRALmoms on Twitter and tweet once about the contest.

2. Answer the following question in the comments below: Are your kids excited about going back to school?

This contest ends at noon, Aug. 31. Two winners will be picked at random from all entries. The winners' user names or Twitter names will be posted on this post by 9 p.m. Aug. 31 and an email or message will be sent to the winner, if possible. The winner must respond by 5 p.m. Sept. 5 or a runner-up will be selected. Good luck!
