I wrote on Friday abut the Carolina Diamonds, part of a league of softball teams featuring elite female fastpitch players.

The team is back in North Carolina after a two-week trip for games in Chicago and Ohio. They'll play games at 7:15 p.m., Thursday and Friday, at Five County Stadium in Zebulon. The Diamonds are playing USSSA Pride of Florida, which has seven former Olympians.

I have two vouchers for four tickets to give away. The vouchers are good for either night. Read more about the team and the game in my earlier post.

This contest ends at noon, Aug. 7. Two winners will be picked at random from all entries. The winners' user name will be posted on this post by 9 p.m. Aug. 7 and an email will be sent to the winner, if possible. The winner must respond by noon, Aug. 8, or a runner-up will be selected. I'm usually all about soccer, but I've been intrigued with the sheer brute force of the water polo matches this summer. Those players are about the toughest I've seen.
