Lots of you out there, like me, are busy tagging your kids' clothes and toys for upcoming consignment sales. And many more of us are gearing up to nab some great deals at them. Check our consignment sale list for the details about all of the sales, which go through early December.
On lots of people's calendars is the upcoming Kids EveryWear sale, the region's second largest consignment sale. It essentially takes over the now nearly vacant Morrisville Outlet Mall for a couple of weeks. Public shopping is Aug. 10 to Aug. 13.

But, the general public can shop earlier than that during the sale's Baby Shower. Shopping early means you get more selection and, thus, deals.

The Baby Shower is 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Aug. 6. To get in, you'll need to join the sale's mailing list and bring a gift to donate to local charities or to the Rancho 3M orphanage in Juarez, Mexico.

Gifts accepted are a check for $15 or more made to Rancho 3M or unopened packages of diapers, wipes or formula valued at $15 or more. Tax receipts are available for charitable donations.

You'll also need to bring along an email registration confirmation that shows you have joined the mailing list.

Expecting, adopting and first time moms also can shop earlier.

And a note: If you're thinking about pairing a trip to the sale with a visit to the Carter's outlet at the mall, think again. The outlet has moved to Brier Creek Commons in north Raleigh as the outlet mall turns into an Asian-themed destination.
