It seems like just yesterday we were out at North Hills ... but that was way back in April!
Our second visit to North Hills Kids this year is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Aug. 8. North Hills will pull out their big foam blocks that are so popular with younger kids.
Go Ask Mom will bring more fun! We'll have free child IDs from the Wake County Sheriff's Office, an activity from Lil' Chef, a fire truck visit from First-In Fire Company, snacks and much more!
We'll also be collecting new stuffed animals and used children's books and DVDs for The Comfort Project, which distributes the items to sick children at local hospitals. It's an amazing group started by local mom Noel Tucker. Read more about Tucker's story and The Comfort Project in an earlier post. Kids and moms also can make cards for the kids who receive the items.
I'll have more details and a complete schedule later this week. So save the date! I hope to see you there!
(And mark your calendars for our visit to North Hills' Midtown Farmers' Market on Saturday, Oct. 20)!
