Win tickets to WRAL Smart Shopper workshop!

Published: 2012-07-29 12:14:00
Updated: 2012-07-31 15:52:49

This contest is over! Congratulations to our winners: canefanatic and kyliesmom!

Faye Prosser, my colleague over at the WRAL Smart Shopper blog, is holding one of her regular coupon workshops on Saturday.

It's 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, at the WRAL-TV studios on Western Boulevard in Raleigh. She will offer all kinds of great tips on how to use coupons, how to take advantage of sales, the importance of meal planning and much more.

Tickets are $15 through Aug. 2. Click here for details. I have two pairs of tickets to give away!

What do you need to do to enter to win? One or both of the following:

1. Follow @WRALmoms on Twitter and tweet once about the contest.

2. Answer the following question in the comments below: If you could cut your grocery bills in half - as Faye's tips can help you do - how would you use the money that you saved?

This contest ends at noon, July 31. Two winners will be picked at random from all entries. The winners' user name or Twitter name will be posted on this post by 9 p.m. July 31 and an email or message will be sent to the winner, if possible. The winner must respond by 5 p.m. Aug. 1 or a runner-up will be selected. Good luck!

i would finish payiong off these dagnabbit bills. we started mortgage and all at 167,000 and have eaked it down to 111,000, but i want to be at 100k before the end of the year!

I would put it aside for my daughters education.

TO pay off my student loans.

If my current grocery bill was cut in half, I'd use the money to pay my son's college tuition so we didn't have to take out loans.

extra money would be put toward debt!

use the saved money to pay off my credit cards!

Recently layed off, I'd use the extra money to pay some bills!

I would put the saved money back for my daughter's future, it's never too early to start saving :)

I would use it to bless others that have less than we do.

Since I am layed off, I could do a lot with the money that I saved. But a family vacation would be the best!
