Duke Medicine: Duke Raleigh Hospital expands emergency department

Duke Raleigh Hospital has completed a major expansion of its emergency department, increasing the size of the existing waiting area by 40 percent and adding 11 exam rooms.

This expansion can mean easier access and more comfort when you need it, but how do you know when the situation calls for emergency care, urgent care, or primary care? What’s the difference? Duke Medicine doctors discuss the differences here.
