Win tickets to see kindie rockers Recess Monkey in concert!

This contest is over! Congratulations to our winner: heazer.

Maybe you read my Q&A with the great kindie rock band Recess Monkey yesterday.

The group of elementary school teachers/rockers is headed to The ArtsCenter in Carrboro for its first show in North Carolina on July 21! And we have a family four pack to give away!

The trio plays catchy, high-energy songs that capture childhood experiences, appealing to both kids and their adults. The group just released its new circus-themed CD called In Tents. I highly recommend them and am so excited that they are (finally!) coming to North Carolina.

Click here for more information about the concert, which is 11 a.m., July 21, and to buy tickets.

How can you enter to win tickets? Do one or both of the following:

1. Follow @WRALmoms on Twitter and tweet once about the contest.

2. Answer the following questions in the comments below: What was your first rock show?

This contest ends at noon, June 9. One winner will be picked at random from all entries. The winner's user name or Twitter name will be posted on this post by 9 p.m. June 9 and an email or message will be sent to the winner, if possible. The winner must respond by 5 p.m. June 12 or a runner-up will be selected. Good luck!
