Help a Mom: Mom seeks play group for toddler son

A mom is looking for a play group for her one-year-old son, but doesn't know where to look. What would you recommend?

I received this email from a mom, who is looking for an outlet for herself and her toddler son.

Here's what she wrote:

I am the mother of a one-year-old who is looking for a play group where my son can play with other kids and I can meet other moms. I live in Harnett County and was wondering if you knew of any groups in my county or in Holly Springs or Fuquay-Varina. Please let me know.

I suggested that she check out Mothers of Preschoolers, which meets at local churches, and Meetup.com, where you'll find a variety of local parenting groups.

If you know of specific groups in that region, please share in the comments below. But, even if you don't know of groups, but have started your own play group or have thoughts on how she might find other moms to start her own, please share.
