The third annual BrickFlix Lego Film Festival is set for Friday night at the Carolina Theatre in Durham.
The festival celebrates films that use Lego bricks. It was founded in 2010 as part of the first annual BrickMagic Lego festival in Raleigh, which took place in May this year.
There are two shows. A 7 p.m. show is designed for all ages and will be followed by a question and answer session with David Pagano from Paganomation. According to the BrickFlix website, Pagano is an award-winning animator. His work includes projects for the LEGO Group (the Space Police logs and the LEGO Club Show), as well as commissioned work for ABC News, The Wall Street Journal and others.
There's also a 9 p.m. show for ages 16 and up. Organizers tell me the films include some Lego violence, language and adult themes.
Tickets are $4.75 a piece and are on sale at the Carolina Theatre box office. Click here for details.
