Saints and Scholars Irish Pub in north Raleigh will host a fundraiser for the Sassafras All Children's Playground project on Saturday.

The Sassafras project involves the removal of the aging All Children's Playground at Laurel Hills Park in north Raleigh and building a new one with equipment that children of all abilities can play on. So far, organizers have raised $670,000 toward the $2 million project.

On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the pub near Spring Forest and Falls of Neuse roads (near Jason's Deli) will offer lunch for $10 adults and $6.50 for kids. Menu options for adults are an Angus beef burger, chicken tenders, reuben sandwich and fish and chips. Kids can choose from cheese quesadillas or chicken tenders.

Sassafras will keep all the profits.

Get your lunch tickets now by going to the event page on Sassafras's website or at the door on Saturday.
