If your child is approached by an excitable dog, Jennifer Shryock, a recognized expert on child-dog interactions, says he shouldn't run.
Instead, Shryock tells me, he should stand like a tree.
Shryock talks about this very important safety tip in the video. She is the Cary mom of four who created Family Paws, a program that is now taught by 120 licensed presenters around the United States and Canada. She also is a vice president with Doggone Safe, which works to prevent dog bites through education.
For more tips from Shryock, check the box above and go to the Family Paws' website.
Thank you so much Jennifer for sharing some great and important safety tips!
