Kazoom Puppet Theatre, a favorite for toddlers to early elementary school kids, has its summer schedule out.

The shows, which are about an hour, feature stories, songs and puppets, including the "superstar" Bartlet. If you go, be sure to have your child draw a picture for Bartlet and put it in the mailbox at the front of the stage before the show starts. The mail will be read/admired on stage. Read my earlier post about this long-running show.

Shows are at 10 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. on the following dates at ComedyWorx, 431 Peace St., near downtown Raleigh:

June 13, 14, 20 and 21; July 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26; August 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, and 23.

Tickets are $5 for everybody 12 months and older (no credit cards accepted). The theater can sometimes be a little chilly, so bring a sweater.

The group also performs the first and third Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. at the Holly Springs Cultural Center and usually 11 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Stars Theater and Arts Center in Fuquay-Varina (The show will be on the second Tuesday in June).
