Trainers from Raleigh's ComedyWorx will teach teens the art of improvisation at an improv comedy workshop next month at Eva Perry Regional Library.
The two-hour program is for sixth graders to high school seniors. It's from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., June 16 at the library in Apex. During the free program, teens will go through a series of simple, fun games aimed at sharpening their mind and building their confidence. It's recommended for actors, aspiring comedians and teens interested in public speaking.
Registration is required. For more information and to register, call 919-387-2100.
ComedyWorx, by the way, has a family-friendly show every Friday and Saturday which, I hear, is great for older kids and teens. The shows are 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, and 4 p.m., Saturdays. Check its website for details.
