Month of Mom: Win a dozen cupcakes from Jenny's Cupcakery!

Published: 2012-05-18 12:05:00

This contest is over! Congratulations to our winner: careless whisper!

I introduced Jen Strain, the mom behind Jenny's Cupcakery, on Monday. As part of our Month of Mom contests, she's giving away a dozen of her delicious cupcakes!

Strain, a mom of three, has been baking since she was a kid. These days, she works in her kitchen to come up with yummy flavors like strawberry red velvet and Tahitian vanilla. She uses as many organic and locally grown products as she can. And she offers vegan and gluten free treats too,

What do you need to do to enter to win? One or both of the following:

1. Follow @WRALmoms on Twitter and tweet once about the contest.

2. Answer the following question in the comments below: Which part of the cupcake do you prefer: Cake or frosting?

This contest ends at noon, May 21. One winner will be picked at random from all entries. The winner's user name or Twitter name will be posted on this post by 9 p.m. May 21 and an email or message will be sent to the winner, if possible. The winner must respond by 5 p.m. May 28 or a runner-up will be selected. Good luck!

Frosting :-)

Actually, I like the filling in the middle. My cupcakes have to have filling now :) So maybe icing is my answer!

Yes!!! Finally! I sent you an email lastnight.

I like both. I start with the frosting and then end with the cake part. You just can't go wrong with a cupcake. :)

It would be hard to say which part I prefer - you really need the right combination of both parts to make the perfect dessert! They balance each other to make the perfect combination of moist cake and creamy frosting. Too much frosting and you've gotten yourself off kilter; not enough frosting and you've killed the cake. Both parts marry together to make the cupcake one of my favorite desserts!

Frosting!

Both!! They each need the other!!

Cake but I do like good whipped frostings

hmmmmm... the cake- but a little frosting is necessary to complete a cupcake!

the cake. hands down!
