Chapel Hill wants kids to think about what the town will look like in 2020.
Children are invited to enter their artwork on questions or themes related to Chapel Hill in 2020 in the Chapel Hill 2020 art contest. The contest is part of the town's efforts to create a new comprehensive plan for the community's future.
The contest is open to children in kindergarten to twelfth grade. Entries can be in any two-dimensional medium such as painting, drawing, printing, comic book art, photography and video. Artwork and a completed entry form must be submitted in person or by mail by April 20 to the Chapel Hill Public Library.
Entries will be reviewed and judged in four grade level categories - kindergarten to second grade; third to fifth grade; sixth to ninth grade; and tenth to twelfth grade. Winners will be announced May 1.
