Quail Ridge hosts young adult, children's book authors

Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh will host some young adult and children's book authors over the next few weeks.
Here's what's on the schedule with book descriptions by Quail Ridge's children's staff:
- 4:30 p.m., April 16: Erin Hunter returns with the latest in the popular Warriors series, Omen of the Stars #6: The Last Hope. For ages 9-12. This is a signing line ticket event. Get a ticket with the purchase of the book from Quail Ridge.
- 7 p.m., April 17: Ruth Sepetys visits with Between Shades of Gray (now in paperback). The LA Times calls it "an eye-opening re-imagination of a very real tragedy written with grace and heart." Brilliant historical fiction set in WWII. For ages 12 and up.
- 3 p.m., April 21. Award-winning children's author and illustrator Ashley Bryan presents Walk Together Children and I'm Going to Sing, new editions of spirituals.
- 4:30 p.m., April 24: Sean Connolly, author of The Book of Potentially Catastrophic Science, visits with The Book of Perfectly Perilous Math: 24 Death-defying Challenges for Young Mathematicians. Ages 9 and up.
