Get ready to register for free summer science program
We're still almost a month away from the day when registration begins for GlaxoSmithKline's very popular Science in the Summer program. But I know Go Ask Mom readers like to be prepared.
Posted — UpdatedThis free (you read that right ... free!!!) half-day summer science camp is designed for rising second graders to rising eighth graders at locations in nine North Carolina counties - Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Harnett, Johnston, Orange and Wake.
There is a rolling registration period for the camps. Some locations fill up very, very quickly. Others don't. Registration for some locations begin as early as March 5. Children are selected on a first-come, first-served basis. This summer's focus is on simple machines. Sessions begin in June and run through August.
