Paint your heart out, support Raleigh parks' scholarship programs
Paint a Valentine's Day inspired masterpiece on canvas and help out Raleigh's scholarship fund for adults and kids.

Raleigh's parks and recreation department will host a Paint Your heART Out! scholarship fundraiser next month to help raise money for its scholarship programs for adults and kids.
It's 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Feb. 4, at the Sertoma Arts Center. Participants, from individuals to families, can create an original Valentine's Day inspired masterpiece on canvas that will be on display in the center's art gallery in February. Stay for as long or as little as you like. Kids must have chaperones. This is not a drop off activity.
Participation is $6 per person. Fees collected will support the scholarship programs. You can pre-register or sign up the day of the event.
For questions and information about how to donate more than the minimum to the scholarship fund, call the Sertoma Arts Center at 919-420-2329. The center is located at 1400 W. Millbrook Rd. in north Raleigh. Read my earlier post for more about the center and park.
