Duke Gardens in Durham will offer its popular Japanese tea gatherings this spring. Several are designed specifically for children and their adults.
These intimate events at Duke Gardens' tea house explore the tradition of Japanese tea gatherings, including the aesthetics, poetry and serenity of the event over a bowl of whisked green tea and a Japanese confection.
The teas are offered on some Fridays and Saturdays from February to May. On the Saturdays when it's offered, children 6 years and older are welcome with an accompanying adult at the family rate. That rate is $40 per adult and child.
